A 20-year anniversary prompts nostalgia
Katamari Damacy was a PlayStation 2 game described in a Guardian review as “weird and wonderful”.
In a nutshell it is described “the eccentric king of the universe, who wears a pair of purple tights of Shakespearean clinginess, has smashed the cosmos up after one too many beers, and you, his tiny green prince, must take a sticky ball to Earth and roll it around, collecting ever-larger objects until your clump of stuff is big enough to replace the moon and planets.”.
Perhaps most memorable, according to the review, is the theme tune.
Katamari Damacy was made for a relatively tiny budget of £650,000, by designer, Keita Takahashi in less than a year.
Apparently you can get hold of a version of the game Katamari Damacy Reroll on Steam and all the consoles.
